"Let's talk Practice"

First off, play this attached video and listen how a professional basketball player Allen Iverson thinks of practice.

I am privileged to have many awesome off road cyclists in "My Area 106". With this said, I am proud of the fact that I have "3" riders in "My Area" that are part of a large national team with Gary Fisher called the "29er Crew". Travis Saeler, TJ Platt and Amanda Sproat are all members of this select national 29er team.

I recently heard that the prior two (Travis is on the left, and TJ right) have been slacking on the "practice side", so I decided to do a spot inspection and show up at one of their scheduled "bike practice" sessions this past Wednesday at North Park (North Pittsburgh).

29er_crew_pic_bob_with_tongue_out_2I said, "don't give me any lip, a full bike practice session is now on"! Well, let me tell you I had to break out the whip on these two and give them a lecture on how practice makes perfect. Even though it began to rain, I pointed up the hill to where they would first hit the trail head. They program their Garmins and off they went.

Element_practice_with_travis_tj_2I followed them and watched from my Element as they headed off into the trail and eventually down over the hill and out of site. Now, for me, it was off to my last sales appointment for the day...Element_practice_with_tj

Stayed tuned for future race results as I know this practice will pay off in results!!!

Seriously you were cracking the whip on these two studs? Lighten up a little Bob. These two guys have been racing for years and there isn't any way they could do as well as they do if they didn't practice. Although it looks like they are smiling so there must not be enough pain there. Crack away!
